05 Apr Intermittent Closures: Sutro Street and Oddie Boulevard – April 8

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County and Granite Construction will implement a new traffic pattern with lane closures at along Wells Avenue between Sutro Street and Ninth Street starting Monday, April 8.

The north side of the half intersection at Sutro Street and Oddie Boulevard will be closed intermittently for approximately three to four days starting April 8, and approximately one to two days the week of April 22.

Traffic will remain open on Wells Avenue one way in each direction on the right side or northbound lanes while work takes place on the southbound lanes.

Southbound traffic on Sutro Street will detour at Timber Way to Valley Road, with northbound traffic on Sutro Street detoured to North McCarran Boulevard via the US 395. Traffic patterns are subject to change, follow detours as marked.

Currently in Phase 4 of construction, this RTC-sponsored multimodal improvement project is revitalizing the area by creating a safer corridor from the intersection of Oddie Boulevard and Pyramid Way in Sparks to the Wells Avenue and I-80 intersection in Reno.
